It was a groundbreaking moment back in 2022 when we first partnered with Kyiv Region Children’s Hospital #2 in Bila Tserkva. This collaboration marked the beginning of an inspiring journey for Universal Relief and Giving Effort Nonprofit Togetherness (URGENT), guided by the remarkable Natalia Bigari and her dedicated team. Today, this hospital is not just a medical facility; it’s a beacon of hope and a testament to the power of partnership in healthcare.

During our latest visit, the hospital corridors buzzed with a vibrant energy, fueled by the remarkable stories of survival and recovery facilitated by the incubators we donated last year. These tools of hope have already saved countless young lives and continue to support new beginnings daily. Witnessing their impact firsthand was nothing short of heartwarming.

Conversations with the hospital staff were equally enlightening, revealing the profound influence of our joint efforts on the community. These dialogues are crucial—they help shape our strategies and ensure that our support meets the hospital’s evolving needs.

In a special gesture of appreciation and ongoing commitment, we shared URGENT’s long-term strategic vision and presented a 2024 calendar and a symbolic horseshoe to the most dedicated hospital staff members. This unique horseshoe, hand-forged by a local Ukrainian blacksmith, not only represents the initial "U" of URGENT but is also imbued with decades of wishes for good luck.

The ethos of URGENT—characterized by resilience, rapid action, and high standards—mirrors the steadfastness of a sturdy horse, ready to face challenges head-on. This spirit drives our world-class team of international volunteers who are dedicated to making a real difference.
